photographer.

I am available for weddings and elopements in Italy, including Tuscany, Lake Como and the Amalfi Coast. My approach combines documentary coverage of the real day with editorial portraits planned around the venue and available light.

Approach

How I photograph a wedding in Italy

I plan enough to understand the venue and light, then leave the day room to happen. Documentary coverage preserves ceremonies, guests and unscripted exchanges; a concise portrait session uses the setting without sending the couple through a list of locations.

Regions & venues

Where in Italy

Tuscany

A countryside celebration often works best when preparations, ceremony and dinner remain on one estate. Before confirming the timeline, check walking distances, shade, the indoor alternative and how guests will arrive.

Lake Como

For a lakeside wedding, build the schedule around the real transfer plan rather than a list of viewpoints. Boat or road travel needs margin, and the venue should offer a practical route between the ceremony, portraits and dinner.

Amalfi Coast

A coastal wedding benefits from one clear base and limited movement. Confirm access for guests and suppliers, protect time for delays, and keep portraits concise so travel does not replace the celebration.

Availability is not a claim of experience at every venue. Before booking, I review the location, access, light and photography rules with you or your planner.

Planning

Best time for an Italian wedding

For many Italian destinations, late spring and early autumn offer softer temperatures than high summer while retaining useful evening light. Lake Como can be changeable, Tuscany can be hot and exposed, and the Amalfi Coast needs extra allowance for traffic and transfers. Build the schedule around the specific region, not a generic sunset time.

Plan portraits around the light, but protect time with your guests. Thirty calm minutes in one good location usually produces a stronger result than travelling between several viewpoints. Read the Europe destination wedding planning guide.

Questions

Planning photography in Italy

Are you available as a wedding photographer in Italy?

Yes. I am available for destination weddings and elopements in Italy. I plan travel, coverage and the working timeline with the couple or planner before the contract is signed.

When is the best time for a wedding in Italy?

Late spring and early autumn often provide a useful balance of comfortable temperatures and longer daylight. The right month still depends on the region: Lake Como, Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast have different weather, access and visitor patterns.

How do you plan photography around an Italian venue?

I ask for the ceremony time, orientation of the spaces, portrait options, dinner location and any venue restrictions. This allows us to protect good light without turning the wedding into a photo shoot.
