The evening light
- Golden hour begins
- Sunset
The evening interval runs from SunCalc’s golden-hour event to sunset. It is a guide, not a promise of a particular look.
Sun times are estimates for the selected city. Buildings, terrain and weather affect the light at your location.
Suggested outline
An example allocation of your time, not measured timings for a real route.

Wedding photo planner questions
How does the wedding photo planner work?
Choose a destination, an optional venue, your wedding date and the local time your ceremony ends. Select a 60, 90 or 120-minute walk and a break of 0, 15 or 30 minutes. The planner calculates evening light and builds an outline starting after the ceremony and break. You can copy the result.
Are sunset and golden hour calculated for the exact venue?
No. The calculator uses the selected city centre, its time zone and daylight-saving rules. Golden hour is the interval from SunCalc’s evening golden-hour event to sunset. Hills, buildings, weather and a venue outside the reference city can change the light you actually see.
Does the outline include travel time between locations?
It includes a provisional allowance for transitions, not a calculated journey. Confirm access, distances and transfers with your venue and photographer before using the outline as a wedding-day schedule.
Can we take wedding portraits outside golden hour?
Yes. Open shade, a sheltered courtyard or soft window light can work earlier in the day. If evening light matters to you, discuss a short separate portrait break with your photographer instead of rushing the main walk.
Are the listed wedding venues ranked or available to book?
The 66 venues are an editorial shortlist across 27 destinations, not a ranking or a live availability service. Photographs show the venues; inclusion does not mean Anton has photographed a wedding there. Confirm photography access, event spaces and availability directly with the venue.
Is the wedding photo planner free?
Yes. No account is needed. Your selections are processed in your browser and are not saved or sent to the contact form. You can copy your outline and share it with your photographer or planner.
